Don't click the link in the email. Just go to paypal's site and ebay's site and check your account from the correct link. I'm 99.9% sure its a hoax. If you are ever uncertain both have what they call spoof email contacts that you just forward the email you receive to them and they will get back to you and say if its a spoof (hoax) or if its real.
I get this stupid emails all of the time. Whenever you get them forward them to spoof@ebay.com. Do not change anything in the email or the subject line. They will contact you and let you know if it was real or not. They are always frauds though.
They state that they will never have you click a link and give personal info about yourself because they already have it.

It's most likely a hoax - we got these and had never given any kind of info to Paypal or Ebay in our lives. You should also be able to report them as spam to your internet provider, as well as emailing them to Ebay.

I have been getting so many of those lately! Whatever you do, don't respond! Ebay has a tutorial sort of thing to tell you if they are real or not. If in doubt, go to the real site on a separate browser and see if someone else HAS added their email to your account. One thing I have noticed a lot is that it will give you a link that will say "ebay.com" but when you hover over it with your mouse it says a different adress. I think this is called phishing but no matter how authentic they look, they are usually not (I recently got a fake email that warned me about fake emails...as if trying to hide the fact that THEY were a fake email).

It's phishing. They are trying to get you to respond with personal informatin. Usually connected to fraud/theft of some type. Id theft, auction theft, etc. Do not respond!
