So, I made an appointment to get a "spray-on" tan and the girl at the salon told me to make sure I shower and exfoliate. Now, I made the appointment for right after work...is it okay if I shower and exfoliate in the morning or did she mean directly before the appointment?
I am so clueless about this whole procedure, although she did tell me to come five minutes early to watch a video. Is it really so complicated that I need visual instruction?
I never showered before and I did fine when I did it. The video is going to explain how to stand and how the machine sprays. Its also going to explain how to use lotion to protect your hands and feet so they don't get orange. Its not complicated or anything.
No need to be freshly showered and you can exfoliate in the morning. Exfoliating is important because if you have any rough or "loose" skin, the color from the spray will not be even.
Like lsubatgirl mentioned, the video just shows you how to use the barrier cream so you don't end up orange on your hands, feet, knees and elbows. It also just kind of lets you know what you should expect.
