I'm just wondering if anyone here went or goes to FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising). They have online classes too...which look fun. Anyone have friends who go there or something? Just wondering....thanks!

Online classes, huh??? That sounds really interesting, I have always wanted to take classes on Fashion design. It would be nice if anybody knew more info about this school.

I looked at this school a while back when I was transferring and trying to figure out what I wanted to do.  It looks like a great school. They have campuses in LA, San Diego and San Francisco (and I think Orange County).   I might have to look into some online classes from them, too.  The courses of study on campus look so interesting. One of the big reasons I didn't transfer there was b/c of the cost (very pricey).

I went to FIDM for a year after high school. I went to the San Diego campus. My major was fashion design. I quit after a year but not because the school was bad. I think the education was great, I loved our field trips and my professors. However, I heard that several of the professors also taught fashion design classes at community colleges nearby. I couldn't compare they quality of education with the community college, but FIDM has an excellent atmosphere (the LA campus is really nice too) and great connections.
