The skin on my face is so dry, it is starting to crack. I allways use ponds, but lately it has not been helping at all.I think I am having this problem cause it has been so cold and windy here in Cleveland for the past week.what kind of moisturizer do guys use when it is so cold.

Cetaphil is great for dry skin, on face or body.

I leave in Buffalo, NY, and I feel your pain!

I use Olay complete face cream, one or 2 layers, waiting a couple of mins between layers. After I put Neutrogena Norwegian formula cream, the one in a jar (or I should say a bucket ). I always apply foundation, I have a nice one from Elizabeth Arden, I find the extra layer helps a lot. At night I put vaseline on the drier areas (around nose and lips), after applying the Olay night cream.

I find that it's better if I don't go too strong when I clean my face: in the morning I just use water and then rose water as a toner.

I think none of this can make miracles, but at least my skin will survive until spring... Don't forget to drink a lot of water or herb teas!

How is the snow situation there?

Try Nivea Soft! At walgreens they had little disks for 99 cents, so you can give it a try.

I find that eucerin works best with my dry skin...and all of the magazines and dermatologists recommend it as well.

I second Cetaphil.  They make a heavier cream that comes in a tub which I prefer over the stuff in the bottle, especially when my skin is super dry.  I use it all winter and I love it.

Thank you for all the advice. At least now i will have an idea of what to try out.luckily it is supposed to warm up within the next couple of days and be 30 degrees instead of 15. although yesterday we had up to six inches of snow in some areas. I can't wait till spring comes!

I third the vote for Cetaphil. Since I have combo skin, I use it only on my dryest areas and it really helps.

I fourth the Cetaphil. I have oily/combo skin but when I'm dried out and parched from the weather, the Cetaphil is my savior.
