It is snowing sooo hard in Chicago right now. I am totally snowed in. The snow plow came by and plowed all the cars in the street in. There is snow up to my door. I'm going to go stir crazy today. My fiance is out of town and all my girlfriends live in teh burbs. No human contact!!!!

I know. I live in the northern burbs and it's awful. I couldn't leave the house even if I wanted to...I'd probably break my back trying to shovel my car out. This is such a waste of a Saturday! Actually, it's probably a good thing that I'm snowed in because I really need to get crackin on my stupid statistics paper but it's still so depressing
I feel ya ladies! At least I am at my bf's place and we have a bunch of dvds and TV to catch up on the Tivo. I'm not super bummed though because I am sick and I wouldn't be doing anything anyway. They say it isn't going to stop until 5 am tomorrow.
Good luck on that stats paper Tri_Sarah_Tops! I start a stats class on February 2 and I am dreading it, ugh!!

It's coming down so hard now here in NJ and we have at least 7"s right now. They are talking about 18+ inches before it stops tomorrow afternoon! The forecast says it will turn into blizzard like conditions with winds, etc. so the drifts should be really high.
We have lots of dvds to watch and I've been doing some baking and house things. Nothing is moving out there, not that I had anywhere to go since I am on my shopping ban.

Thanks for the words of encouragement on the stats! I was dreading it too, but I've found that it really isn't that bad, just kind of tedious. I never thought it really had much use but it's kind of interesting to see how it actually relates to business. Good luck with your class and stay warm and dry!
not to hijack the thread, but ooh, i'm taking a stats class, too, this semester...good to know others are in the same boat.
i'm kinda bummed...it snowed a lot this morning but stopped around 3 or so. i was all set to be forced to stay in and do some stuff around the house, but now it looks like i may have to metro it downtown to a b-day party. rrr.
Well, i guess it's nice to live in a area that just shuts down when it snows because we only maybe have 3" and I work at the mall and we made the decision to close our store. So, now I can say that I really am enjoying my evening because I am at home
normally i'm not a fan of snow, but it's so pretty out now. plus i like it better when it snows on the weekend, so i have an excuse to be lazy. though i just ventured out to the corner store and i could barely see my steps, and they're pretty high.
I live in teh western suburbs of Chicago and we have about 5 inches here...I was going stir crazyin the house, so when it stopped snowing I went out...the roads were not too bad, but once it started snowing hard again, i came home and I am catching up on the Tivo
I'm in Boston (which I'm sure you all could have figured out) and we have about 2.5 feet of snow. I love it! I don't have a car and I have everything I need in my house so it's just the same as if I'm a little kid again. Plus one of the boys I'm dating is coming over later to watch the Pats mush the Steelers into the ground... who could ask for more?!
We did the old yardstick test out back where it's not windy and came in at 25 inches! Out front and the side of our house that gets the wind we had 4 foot drifts!
Now it is bitter cold, it's supposd to be 10 below with windchills tonight! I'l be styling in my flannel jammies!
To add insult to injury to the blizzard, at 7:30 am this morning my building's fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. We were outside for at least 30 minutes in the snow. I went in and slept all day.
