oooh I can't wait. I love recommending restaurants. I think I wrote a big thing on this on FashionHag. Let me see if I can remember the ones I recommended.
Five Points - JMR did you end up going there? How was it? I love this restaurant because the bar is busy but the dining hall is very nice and lofty. There's also a brick oven (which I forgot to mention in the last post). They have amazing food and it's not too bad.
Bottino - It's kinda in no where Chelsea, but the food is great and have they a beautiful garden.
Fleur de Sel - it's in Flatiron. It's TINY. I wouldn't be surprised if they were booked already but I would give them a call.
Blue Ribbon Restaurant - delicious. TINY AGAIN! I don't think they take reservations for small parties so this restaurant may be out. They waiting list is LONG. But they are open like 12 hours for dinner or something ridiculous! It's a great place to go if you don't feel like getting a gross cheeseburger at 3am! But maybe you want to pass for your romantic restaurant.
Il Cantanore - I know that this restaurant is totally played out, but every time I pass it I'm like, "ooh that place looks cute" and I forget that it's Il Cantanore. But definitely romantic.
Also what about the Sea Grill? It's the restaurant that is on the same level at the Rockafeller ice-skating rink. It may be romantic to watch the ice skaters? Plus the have the best petit fours!
