So - I have a website that I did. But it is the type of website that anyone can build. It's pretty O.K. Looks professional - but I guess I want to embellish it more. Have more fun on it. It's pretty basic. Would it be hard to learn some tools to do more fun stuff w/? Or should I have a professional do it? Any of you have experience w/ making a website but using HTML codes etc.
When I was really into making my website I use to go to ones I liked and look at their code to see how to copy it. Have you tried making the pages in FrontPage? You could add some extras in there and then upload the whole page to whatever server/web hosting service you are using.
If you decide you don't like how it turns out or just want another I would contact a college in your area that have a graphic design program. Most decent sized colleges to or an art school and see if they have any students who would be interested in designing on for you. You can talk to them over the phone and tell them what you want. You don’t have to go anywhere to meet them. Most of the time they would do it for free. My boyfriend is a graphic designer and he did a lot of work for companies for free. He needed the experience to graduate. They will have a lot of programs and things at their disposal that you may not have to make a really good webpage.
