I have funny story that I just thought I would share with everyone.


Yesterday we had a family dinner at my house- grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. My grandmother (1) was there and she is getting old and is not remembering things very well.


I had really bad stomach ache. I got sick a few times and I just felt crappy. I was just sitting on the couch and my other grandmother (2-who is not forgetful) asked me how I was doing. She then said I could be getting the flu or some kind of bug. Then my forgetful grandmother (1) said, "Maybe you are pregnant. She (me) told me that they trying to get pregnant." – and she pointed at my boy. Everyone just stopped what they were doing and starred at me. It felt like I was in a movie. My boy looked like he was going to cry and vomit. He looked terrified.


What actually was the case was my SIL told my forgetful grandmother (1) that her and my brother were trying to have baby. They had decided not to tell anyone until she was actually pregnant, so they could avoid all the questions about if she was pregnant or not. My SIL was just so excited that she needed to tell someone so she told my forgetful grandmother (1) hoping that she was just forget 30 seconds later and my SIL wold have it out of her system. Nothing makes Babtist grandparents happier than the thought of the grandaughter having sex before marriage and a baby out of wedlock-my grandmother's word.


It took a little while to figure out the whole story so for about 30 mins everyone thought that my boy and I were trying to have a baby. It was a little awkward, but funny.

That must have been awkward, but it was a funny story!


Gotta love those forgetful family members, everybody has at least on in the family and they make gatherings all the more interesting.
