I guess the first step to a shopping ban is to stay away from temptation right?
It all started because the order for the pink coat my mom got me for Christmas was cancelled. Apparently they didn't have any more XS even though the website said they did. So I drove to Neimans because I knew they had the same coat in-store. Lo and behold I found it in my size and on major sale! I also found this sweater: this velvet skirt: This velvet jacket:
a pink sweater I can't find a photo of.... a v. cute Juicy panne velvet skirt in taupe, and these humanity jeans which look much better in person, and actually looked good on me:
At the same time, another SA was able to locate this pair of YSL wedges I've been dying for:
My mom gave me $$ for the coat, but because it's majorly on sale now I can get that and a couple other things, or I can splurge on the YSL wedges. Or I can get it all The clothing items I ordered from Saks after Christmas all got cancelled,(http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=44784&action=viewTopic&commentID=1701143&subForumID=102212) so I feel a bit entitled to get more here since I had technically spent that money already. So what are your picks? Everything is on hold & I am leaving in a couple of hours....TIA!

Vanessa-I hate to add to the bad influence of Neiman's, but I think you should get it all~! It is all just gorgeous and you won't be able to get those prices again. Your Saks cancellation justifies it.
Just buy all of it! You will get the shopping bug out of your system in big way, have some pieces you really want plus the shoes you've been lusting over and get some great deals to boot.
Then, you can begin your shopping ban.
(PS, I'm on a major shopping ban and living vicariously through you )
If you can afford it all which you say you can, I say get it. Why hold back? Splurge, if you dont deserve it then who does? GET IT ALL.. sorry for being a bad influende.
That velvet skirt and the velvet jacket are freakin awesome...get what you think you'll get a lot of wear out of and don't go beyond what you can afford.
i have that coat and i just love it....if it's on major sale, you gotta get it! i love both of the sweaters, the velvet jacket, and the wedges...you should get all of them, esp. since if they're good deals! i always regret it when i miss a great deal.
amen to that! neimans is such a bad influence, there are just so many beautiful things! on sale! anyway, i went in last night to return a pair of pants, timed it so that i'd get there at 5:30 and knowing they close at 6, figured i wouldn't have anytime to shop....but somehow i managed. got a pair of seven crystal a-pockets and rationalized that i'd only spent $50 extra since i returned the pants, sigh.
btw, mia if you're reading this, i couldn't find the marc jacobs sweater you were posting about earlier, sorry! also, fairywings, chanel doesn't carry the cake mascara anymore according to the SA there.
ok sorry for the hijack, back to you vanessa--i think if the wedges look great on your feet, get them. the wedges were on sale at my neimans too and i tried them on but they made my toes look too long so i didn't get them. but my toes really are kinda long so maybe the wedges would look fab on you. also, i'd gotten the mj jacket you posted earlier at neiman's first call sale but ended up returning it because though it's darling on the hanger, it fit kinda big, how was the fit for you?
basically, what i'm trying to say (in a very long winded way!) is that i think you should get only the things which fit and look AMAZING on you and resist on the rest. good luck and enjoy!
