does anyone use shoe trees?

My husband says I need shoe trees for my nice shoes. I have a couple pairs of Tods, a Pliner pair and a Gucci pair. He says men use them all the time and I should get some to help my shoes keep their shape. Does anyone use them? Do they make them for women's shoes?

I have used cheap plastic ones that are just about all gone.  I'm planning on buying some nice cedar ones.  They do help keep your shoes from creasing across the instep.  The Container store has both kinds.
