I was initially shocked when I heard it on fox news this morning and flipped over to E! News Weekend and they showed the comment Brad made in People this summer or whenever about not being in this relationship forever and then it didn't shock me anymore. I kinda felt they really didn't value their marriage. I think it did come down to the family issue. He is 41 and wants to have kids and she's 35 and just started her film career after being tied down to Friends for 10 years and doesn't want to get tied down so fast again.

I agree with the rest of you, I think it is very sad, for the same two reasons, that they were a perfect couple but also i believe that he wanted kids and she wanted the career and it got in the way. At least we still have Reese and Ryan to look at!
