Does anyone have any recommendations for a good wedding planner? I'm talking about a book, not a person who plans the wedding. Also, has anyone used any wedding planning software? There are quite a few options out there, but most of them look somewhat unprofessional and shady. The Knot.com is good for advice and such, but I'm more looking for something to keep myself organized and on track. Thanks!
Have you tried looking on amazon. I just checked over there and they have 3 ring binders with business card holders, pages for putting swatches, sketches, ideas, etc.
I have this Emily Post one...it's pretty good, and I like it. It's informative and keeps me on track with checklists and timelines and the like. There's a lot of the same info online on the Knot or WeddingChannel, but I just like having a book that I can refer to if I don't feel like turning my computer on or whatever. I also have a hard time finding the same articles again on the Knot, but maybe I'm just dumb. The only I don't like is that there isn't a lot of storage space. There's one folder in the back. I actually use that to keep business cards in because the folder is sort of small.
To keep anything else (contracts, pamphlets, pages torn out of mags, etc.), I have just a plain old 3-ring binder with dividers for the various things: attire, catering, flowers, ceremony details, honeymoon, etc. It's cheap and helps me stay much more organized than the Emily Post book does, in reality.
