one year old child's toy idea

it is my niece's 1st b-day party on Sunday but I also have a shower to go to the same day so I wanted to send hubby with the gifts to the party.


We have a little outfit for her......a Tommy jean jacket and a little I love NYC white tee shirt and a pair of red leggings.


Does anyone know what the hot toy/toys were for Christmas for babies/toddlers? I don't know much about toys for babies but thought someone on here might have an idea that they bought/ received or saw recently......

i second the elmo -- my nephew got chicken dance elmo and an equally noisy singing/dancing cookie monster for his 1st bday and loved them both.
