Has anyone else noticed that in a few recent issues of Lucky how painfully thin GiGi Guerra is in the pictures they feature her in? I've been noticing it a few times but I really thought in the Jan. issue (wearing the sandals) that she looks terrible. I used to think she was a cute girl but now she looks like a skeleton. Also the picture of Andrea Linette in the long skirt was awful. She looks like a corpse, she is also too skinny and her skin has no life to it. She has no "shine" (for lack of a better term), no sparkle. She just looks blah.

I do agree that Andrea needs a little color in her face (I do also hate her hippie dippie choices)... but I feel like I have to defend them in some way. The publishing biz, esp. Lucky magazine, I'm sure is just full of pressure to look a certain way and be a certain size. I really feel for these woman putting themselves in every issue every month. It must be alot of stress.

I mean I think it's unfortunate that if they do feel this pressure and are starving themselves to look this way due to that pressure... but I just feel like from here I shouldn't be judging.... well I shouldn't be judging what they look like at least.

Andrea's choices do make me barf sometimes

Wasn't Gigi Guerra involved in Sassy? I've also seen articles by her in other mags - Elle, possibly. Her whole attitude (in print) is that of the "accept yourself, you're beautiful as you are" bunch, so it did kind of make me feel ill to see her looking so rake-like (and no, I don't think it is natural - I think she used to be bigger). Not that I feel sorry for her. She sucks if she's preaching one thing and practicing another. Get some self esteem idiot.

a lot of the lucky girls came from sassy. the main editor (can't remember her name), andrea linett, and gigi guerra, who worked for jane (sassy 2.0) before going to lucky.
