At least on the foods for right now, I see my doctor again on 1/10 and should be cleared to start an exercise routine. Hell even if it's just walking and some lighter weights I'll be happy.
Hubby grocery shopped for us as well, similiar things. Whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta, brown rice, chicken breasts, turkey breasts, eggs ( I eat the whites and the dog gets the yokes I cook.) Spinach, brocoli and red peppers and salad things plus lots of fresh greens and fruit. So no excuses for me.
I'll join. I started back on WW sunday. I've walked everyday so far this week (i know just 2 days but its a start!) for the recommended amount (40 minutes). Grocery shopping this weekend consisted of fruit, chicken sasauge from Whole Foods (very healthy), and low calorie pizza crust from Whole Foods. I'm headed to the real grocery store this week with my mom.

Oooh, i'm interested in both of these items. Is the sausage precooked? Pre packaged? Do you find it in the frozen food section? I saw a chicken apple sausage last night but it was pretty high in fat and sodium and am looking for a healthier version.
also the pizza crust, is it whole wheat? Is it frozen?
Ok the chicken sasauge is prepackaged and at the one I go to its located back by the butchers and the other sasauge that they make. Its vaccuum sealed and there are a ton of different kinds. I got the tomato and basil chicken sasauge one and its good. It comes out to 3 weight watcher points (basically 1 point is roughly 50 calories and low fat). I can look at the NI when I get home.
I have gotten the apple chicken sasauge one and LOVE it. It is AWESOME but I didn't know it was bad for you :( I'll have to keep an eye out to see if there is a prepackaged version of it that might be better for you.
The pizza crust is the personal size, found in the bread section. Its called Kabuli or something similar. Its regular white flour I think not wheat. Its 260 calories for the whole crust, 0 fat, and 4 gms fiber (4 WW points). Not sure about the sodium but it is very good tasting. I live off of this stuff.
Have you tried the whole wheat pitas there? I saw some but wasn't sure so I passed on them but I'm going back down to NO next weekend and might pick some up.
Oh have you tried the chicken tortilla soup? I'm sure its not good for you but it is to die for!
I want to join as well. I had put a halt on my workout routine because I am moving and have a gym in my new building... so I cancelled my gym membership. Unfortunately, my move-in date was delayed so I am now motivated to work out at home and outdoors.
I know this sounds gross but I rediscovered cauliflower and that's the only thing I ever want to eat.
I'm in. I know it's shallow, but I want to lose weight before my wedding. and just in general, i really need to get into shape and take care of myself better. i'm actually thinking of doing weight watchers, but i don't really want to spend the money. we went grocery shopping and I have meals all planned out - i didn't pay attention to calories/fat, but they are all nutritious and filling - tonight it's skinless chix breast w/cannelini beans and kale. i'm trying not to snack on unhealthy things, but the hardest part is getting motivated to run. i'm like a bear in the winter, i just want come home and sleep after work, not go running! so maybe you guys can help motivate me.

Do WW without joining. Either buy the books on ebay or from them. Anyone can walk into a WW center and buy the books. You can also check out www.dwlz.com for the latest WW info. They have a very good support system in their message boards that I joined last year.
count me in too! i started the detox diet yesterday (3 weeks on www.handbag.com by matt roberts) as well as denise austin's yoga video (3 weeks to a yoga body). i was floored that i actually did not even CRAVE goodies yesterday. i mean, the candy bowl at work is about 1 foot from my desk and even a week ago i couldn't pass it w/o taking one. also the yoga video is pretty intense! i'm really excited, i've never done a diet b4 and never really had a goal (10 lbs in 2 months). woo hoo, gooooo 2005 workout brigade!!
I want to join! i'm aiming for five workouts per week these days. I haven't been to the gym since Friday so I have my work cut out for me.
Tonight is one hour elliptical (and 'd like to do 6 miles in that time.) I'm banned from the treadmill b/c of an injury, and that is having a large negative impact on my ass.
I'm in too! I am going to start jumping rope while I watch the news after work (at least during the commercials) and do my pilates routine at least 3 days a week. Not as ambitious as the rest of you, but hopefully it's something I can actually stick with!
