Okay, we are 3 days into the new year and I haven't even had the desire to shop.  It may be because I have been so busy, but I feel very strong:).  I even went shopping with my bf yesterday because he needed to go to the store and I didn't even care about looking.  (Yay!!)  I have a very good feeling about this little wager that we have going.  I haven't looked at the shopping forum once since NYE and I truly feel like that has always been an enabler for me to feel the need to shop.


On a side note, I will be moving into a new apartment tomorrow and my bf said that if I need to buy stuff for my place that could be included in necessities which is nice because he said that included pictures, bedding and items that I really wouldn't consider necessary to live.  I may just have to start taking a new interest in the home and garden section of the forum, ha!!

Way to go girl!  I am joining the bandwagon and am really going to try hard and not shop and save more money.  I'm aiming for $25 a week right now since I don't make much and I'm in school.  So hopefully it won't be too bad.  I think as long as I don't go to the mall I'll be ok.


I have to get a few birthday presents for the bf but I'm going to try to do that at Walmart or Amazon so I don't go to the mall.  After that I'm going to be strong!


Lets do a weekly nonshopping post when the weekend shopping post goes up so we can keep strong and feed off of one another!

Congrats Farrah and lsubatgirl!  I'm on the bandwagon too and am going strong as well.  Everyone I know laughs when I tell them I'm doing this but I really believe I can hang on until beginning of March (my goal).  I can't wait to see how much money I save/pay off my cc's.

Keep up the good work..........I'm going to try and knock it off until my b-day (March 27th)but.............there is this suede tote bag that I will be buying @ Coach this thurs. after that it's a wrap!Gotta get cc's paid and money in my savings!

i'm on a shopping ban, but caved today.   found 3 cool vintage sweaters while thrifting (only wanted to find books), but ONLY spent $8 for all of them.


i promise to be better, but NEED you guys to smack me when i get out of line.

I really need to save for my Portugal trip, but I bought a pair of cute pink tweed peep toe pumps at DSW Shoe store. They were on sale for $39.99 from $79.99 and I wouldn't have bought them if I didn't feel the need to cheer myself up after my accident. Besides, hubby took me there and when I spotted them he told me to go for it. Then we went to the mall where I picked up some cosmetics basics.


But now I am through and don't really need anything else, not that this ever stopped me before though.


I just hope I have the same strength as you girls do!
