new year's stories

I got really drunk at a party, then went to some random bar. It wasn't too exciting. I ended up kissing this lame guy who I've known since high school who went to the same college as me. He got sick from too much drinking later in the night and I don't think there is anything more unattractive then a guy that can't hold his liquer. He got mad that I wouldn't go home with him (yeah, he's really nice like that) so the funniest thing all night was when I told him "I was too cool for you in high school, too cool for you in college, and I'm way too cool for you now." I walked away and haven't heard from him since.

My boyfriend and I went over to my brother and sister in laws house. My boy and brother left at around 11:00 P.M to pick up pizza and some junk food for us. A friend of my brother’s from work was suppose to stop by to drop something off for him that night- he thought his friend was suppose to come over around 8:00-earlier that evening. About 11:15 there is knock at the door. My sister in law answers the door. We figured it was the guys and they had their hands full or didn't have a key. My SIL opens the door and they guys says "Hey I’m Josh". It is my brother's friend and he is so wasted. The boys should be back at any moment, so we let him in to stay until they get home. We just sit around and talk to him for a few mins and the guys return. My brother walks in and see his friend and says "Who this?" We say "Um Josh-your friend" My brother then tells us that he has never seen this guy before in his life. Apparently this guy was going to a party on the next street over and his cab dropped him off at the wrong house. My brother's address is very similar to the house the party was at. The whole time the random guy kept commenting on what a shitty party this was.

It was just weird because Josh is the name of my brother’s friend and my SIL or I had never met the guy, so we didn’t know what he looked like.

YES!!! I saw Mariah live in person and she squeezed my hand (twice). I have a picture but I have to figure out how to put it on the web...I just got a digital camera so I'm new to this stuff. We were in Vegas at the grand opening of Pure in Caesar's Palace (beautiful club by the way). I was really pissed and disappointed because they had us in line forever and we were walking into the club as the countdown occured. My mood was lifted when I got to see Mariah. I'm more of a fan of her older music but she is so beautiful in person...her skin glows. I never thought I'd be the type of person to be star struck but I totally was.

Another story...the night before NY eve we went to studio 54...we got there kinda late and the line was longggggggggg. My friend left line to go get us drinks and as I'm standing there this guy walks up to me and starts chatting. I told him my friend went to get us drinks cuz we figured we'd be in line forever. He says "oh well I'm super VIP here so when she comes back we can just go right in." I thought he was lying but he walked us up to the front and we went straight in. HEHE!

I had a fun New Years. 40 of us headed up to this huge house in Vermont @ Mount Snow. It's enormous, it sleeps 50 comfortably (!) We basically all just drank and ate for three days straight. Half of the people were single and half were married so it was a good mix, I got hit on a lot...We were all so drunk that we started making up our own drinking games and we were getting really competitive at it and we were all broken into teams chanting and cheering and screaming at each other all night. It was really funny...I had tons of pictures but they were all on my sister's camera and she lost it :( if she finds it I'll post them here, we have some really funny pics.

My nye was pretty mellow. I ended up going to my bf's parents house in New Orleans and we went to a few of his friend's parties and then was in bed by 12:30. No drunk stories or anything because I couldn't get a buzz started.

i had been pretty sick all week so we decided to make it a low key New Years...we went out for dinner and then went to see the Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou...it was good. we were home in bed by 11:30. He woke me up at midnight, said happy new year, gave me a kiss and told me to go back to sleep...

My new year's was a blast. My friends bought me a plane ticket to Chicago. The whole weekend is a blur. I think I might acutally still have a buzz. LOL I can't believe that I could keep up with them because they are some hard core drinkers and I'm a lightwieght.:)

lola -- that sounds like so much fun. did you rent the house? (and how much did it cost, if you don't mind?) i'm so jealous. i hope she finds her camera. i have lost my cameras in innumerable drunken stupors and it sucks b/c there are usually some really good pictures by the time you get drunk enough to lose the camera.
