I got a lotion from bath and body works for x-mas.  It smells so gross (vanilla bean noel), like sour cookie dough.  Will they let me exchange it for something else (w/o a receipt)?

I would think so if you just wanted to swap it out but I can't believe you don't like it!  I loved that scent when I smelled it in the store.  Maybe you got a bad batch.  When you swap go for the lotion in the glass bottle that says something like silkening on it.  It makes your hands feel wonderful.  Their anti-bacterial disinfectant is good too.

I've never really been a fan of b&bw scents.  I don't know, there is just something about it that smells off.

I know what you mean about their scents.  I usually stick with their cucumber melon or sun-ripened raspberry scents.

Grace - you can exchange something, but they will probably give you the sale price....and unfortunately they are having their big sale now!!!  So all their x-mas scents are 50% off.....you will only get $5.25 credit (I think they are $10.50 regular priced).

Grace, I just took back two bottles of lotion that are now on sale, and the SA gave me the price that was listed on the bottle. I didn't have a receipt; I just said I got them for Christmas. I think it helped that I was exchanging them. You can probably get some nice stuff from the sale.  I am not nuts about their lotions and soaps (I find their products very drying), but I do like:


-the lip balm that comes in the case (not the tube). I use the vanilla scent when I go to sleep and it helps me sleep


-their hand sanitizers are really nice; at least better than Purel or other stuff. They also have antibacterial handwipes. I like the Citrus Basil & Mango Mandarin


-Their raspberry vanilla smells good IMO - better than that Vanilla Bean crap anyway


-they have nice candles -- I think they sell the White Barn ones?


-I also really love their hairbrushes. I got two (normally $26 each) for $12

they have Burt's Bee products and a whole line of nice Henri Bendel candles that smell good!


they also have an aromotherapy neck wrap that you heat up in the micro that is fab.


maybe you can get one of those or some of the other things people posted.
