I am FINALLY taking (sort of) the plunge. As of Jan. 15th - I am cutting down my "real job" hours to about 20 a week and taking a serious pay cut, all to get jenerations up and rolling for real. The busier I get - the less hours I will have to work the "real job", until hopefully I am making jewelry full time.
I am re-doing my website, going to be taking credit cards, and will all fingers crossed -I am telling you my spring collection will be great and different - and hopefully kick ass compared to past seasons.
BTW, I would love to pick your brain sometime about how you got everything started, since I'm in the process of doing that and it always helps to talk to someone who's been there.

Anytime. I am of the thought that even though you are a "competitor" we can probably learn a lot from eachother. I even go on shopping trips with some other designers - the bigger the quantity the better the price!
Where do you like to go shopping for your supplies? Right now, I get most of my stuff online, which is fine, but sometimes irritating b/c I like to see stuff in person before I buy it. There aren't too many supply stores around here. I would love to be able to take weekend shopping trips for supplies. Hopefully, after the new year, I'll be able to find a M-F day job, even if it is just something like an administrative assistant, so that my weekends are freed up.
I have a bunch of places in the city I go to. Most are only open during the week - (wholesale accts only) but a few are open on the weekend (the hours and days change with the seasons).
I am actually going tomorrow to finish up my main spring shopping.
What kind of stones are you using? Where are you buying from now? I find it really hard to buy online - it is never as it seems.
