help with cropping photos

we wanted to do a Christmas card with the Red Sox on the front in memory of my husband's father. I found these photos but I need to crop out the Boston wording so I can get them printed. Does anyone know how to do this?  Or know of where there would be photos on the internet with no words so Wal Mart or Eckerd will print them?

My boyfriend is a graphic designer and he maybe able to fix the pictures so the red box is not there. That way you will not lose any of the pictures. If you are interested let me and I can have him give it a try. I don’t think it would take that long.
