I want to try a bit more dramatic makeup at night and want to try sexy smokey eyes but I'm not sure waht colors to try. I have dark hair and blue eyes, what brand and colors would look best to achieve this look?

I have blonde and brown hair and blue eyes and I do the smokey eye all the time.
Like the other girls, I'm really into gray right now. You can do a lot more with it and it's not as severe as black. But stick with at least a little black eyeliner (just a little is okay). I'd stay away from blue since you have blue eyes. (I know people say you can do the same color as your eyes but for me it just looks funny.) Wines and purples are good ways to go also.
As for brands, you can get smoky eye stuff just about anywhere, from drugstore to department store. Just depends on what you like.
there's a color from MAC that i use as a base when i'm doing a really dramatic eye, but i think it would work well just to put it on your lid and then line the inside of your lids w/ waterproof black (or grey) eyeliner. the eyeshadow is called "fiction" and it's a emerald/green color (my desc is not doing it justice). i think if you put that on your lid and blended it up and to the side it would look nice
Ive been trying to master the smokey eye look forever...and i just can't do it! I have asked people at mac to show me like a million times but when i get home and try to do it myself, it never looks right. I dont know what im doing wrong! I need to watch a video online or something...anyone know of any (besides the one on the chanel website) that might help??
I don't know if it would have it but you can buy the mac cd rom on ebay for $5 or $10 and it is supposed to be what they train their employees with. I would assume the smokey eye technique would be on it along with other stuff too.
