Can you please give me the Albequerque info that you had posted on FH earlier this month? I went to look it up and realized that the place was a ghost town. What happened over there?????
Oh, geee... I don't really reemmber much. A lot came out of Frommer's (they have a lot on their website, frommers.com). Anyway, the area of ABQ that a lot of tourists like to visit is Old Town - there's an old plaza with a historic church, a lot of shops, quaint old southwestern things.... Then I recommended a ride up the Sandia Peak tramway and dinner or lunch at the top of Sandia peak when you get there (touristy yet fun).
Hmmm - we all agreed you should go to Santa Fe (an hour away) - there you can stroll the historic plaza, visit many a gorgeous old church, and shop and eat a ton (because it's lovely). There is more info in the "Santa Fe" section of my handy-dandy site for my house (http://www.casa-sonrisa.com/santa_fe.html) . Somebody had a specific suggestion of some hot springs near ABQ that sounded good as well.. lots of great outdoor activity, depending on the temp. You can always rent skis for the day - there's skiing at Sandia Peak, Ski Santa Fe, and Toas 9which is about 2.5 hrs from Santa fe - I used to live in Taos and work in the ski valley - it's a world class mtn, no snowboarding allowed, which is great for the ski purist).
Hmmm - anything specific you want to ask about?
