I just got a little job for the weekend working at the Planet LuLu sale.
I'll be wrking a total of 14.5 hrs this weekend. I can either get $8/hr or $10/hr in clothing credit. I can't split it up either.
I know it's not a lot of $$ but I thought it'd be fun to do. Which would you do?
By the way, Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I've never bought anything from Planet LuLu before and I figure girls in this section would know most about their clothing selection.
Hmm the other thing you need to ask is when you will get to go through the clothes. If you go through them last go for the cold cash because stuff will be picked over. If you get to go through the clothes first then go for that I think (this is based on what is usually on the website)
I'd take the cash. It's only another $30 worth of clothing credit, which isn't really a lot. And anything like this (sample sale, outlets, etc.) is gonna be pretty hit or miss, so you might not find anything you really want.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. Also, if the sale is only temporary, then you would feel like you had to use the money right then and if there's nothing you like you can't wait until they get more stuff in the store like at a regular, B&M store. LSU batgirl made a good point also.

Yeah I guess I'll probably take the cash unless I see something I HAVE to have. Has anyone ever been to an actual in store planet LuLu event? Does it get crazy crowded?
Okay I think there is something wrong with me, I'm excited to be wrking Sat. and Sun?! This has never happend before. lol!
OMG I DID THIS. worked for a planet lulu sale, that is.
my advice would be to take the cash. i did the stupid thing and chose clothing credit, and ended up getting a capital tailors denim jacket that i didn't think was *that* great, and i also paid an extra $70 or so just because there was nothing else to get. they wouldn't let us apply the clothing credit to any of the denim and some other stuff (basically the good stuff, if you can even call it good). well, at least i wear the jacket... sometimes.
i think it'll get crowded in the morning at the beginning, but by the end of the day it should get kinda slow. i don't think the sale is all that great, IMHO.

Okay now I'm beginning to reconsider. I don't really want to waste away my weekend days for 100 bucks. And if they don't even have great stuff either... Hmm.
it was fun for like . . the first 20 minutes when you're looking around, taking in the goods. Just keep in mind that this was my experience, perhaps you'd have a better one.
I've been to two Lulu sales and the first one sucked, at the second one I got a pair of round toe Marc Jacobs boots. I don't know how, but it was the only pair and in my size. I got them for $125 which is good because originally they were $500. I wish I could get deals like that all the time, but usually it's hit or miss. I would take the cash if I were you. You don't want to end up with a bunch of stuff you don't like.
