inexpensive, casual skirts?
Permalink Closed

Now that it's warming up I really want to get a couple more skirts for work, but my office is super casual (some people come to work in sweatpants!), so none of the professional/suiting skirts I have found will work. I didn't see anything worth even trying on at my Target. I went to Kohls because their skirts looked cute on the website (found them on BargainQueen's blog!) but they were WAY too long and poofy on me. I'm 5'7", so I usually don't have a problem with things being too long, but somehow Kohls seems to expect me to be a giant!

Looking for:
-casual
-about $30
-preferrably something I can find in a B&M store, after the Kohls disappointment I'm afraid that I'm not a good silhouette judge online
-about knee-length (I will be wearing these to work, after all!)
-in case any super great deals are around, I'm about a 4/6 in skirts

TIA!

You might have Dillard's in your area - these are $24

I got a few cute ones from H & M last year. They were cotton and flowy and casual. Maybe they will have some again this season.

Have you tried New York and Company?  Here's one from them:

City Style Pleated Skirt - Pattern

Ann Taylor Loft:

Floral Print Ruffle Hem Skirt

I would also try Steinmart, TJ Maxx, and Forever 21...

Hey ttara123, I bought 2 of the skirts I posted on my blog with the intentions of shortening them from the waist which I then found was NOT worth doing. I'm only 5' so you can imagine how ridiculously long they were on me, so back they went.

Did you check the juniors section? I found 3 skirts there (very similar to the ones Susasoria posted) at knees' length.

Forever 21 and H&M both have lots of skirts. I just bought one from H&M for $25 that looks way more expensive.
