although...i did used to have a sweater that was all chunky and cozy, it was dark blue and light blue with white designs across the top (fair isle style) that evoked snowflakes, but weren't actually snowflakes. that one i really liked, but it just felt festive, wasn't actually a holiday sweater. i don't even know what happened to it.
lord, i can still remember the sweatshirts my mom and i made when i was like 8 with Mary Engelbreit holiday-themed iron-ons...i'm surprised i got through that with some sense of style intact...
I use to love christmas sweatshirts. Now I don't own anything that resembles christmas but if given a really cute sweatshirt I'd probably wear it around the house and maybe to walmart
I'm a teacher and was given one by another teacher when I first started. I had to wear it because I felt bad. Never ever again....It's amazing how much the children thinks it's pretty on you. ha
but there's a woman in my building who has a different christmas sweater for every day of december, and i like her, so i've actually complimented a couple of them. i hope i'm not encouraging her!! (though i guess with 30 christmas sweaters, she's already beyond that).

Ha! I have the dorkiest red sweatshirt that has an iron on of a mettalic bear and fabric pants, ribbon, and bells all over it that my aunt made me when I was 8. I whip it out EVERY YEAR on one day and all my friends crack up. I work at AE, I wonder if they'll let me wear it there...It is way too funny!
I had to laugh when I saw this thread b/c it reminded me of Bridget Jones I. He! He! But as for me wearing a Christmas sweater or any holiday type of shirt is never going to happen.
No! I am Jewish I did make a Hanukah sweatshirt one year, but it is tres dorky.
However, I bought a pink sweater with a snowflake on it that I'm going to wear to my "boyfriend's" house for x-mas dinner. Don't worry gals, we both have husbands!
i did when i was a kid, but not in many many years. fireball's post reminded me that i do wear x-mas socks--in all seasons actually. it's somewhat of a joke in my family because my mother is OBSESSED with them--every year my stocking is usually filled up with several pairs. over the years i have collected hundreds of them, and not because i like them but because she does. anyway, no one sees them if i am wearing boots, so i wear them all the time!
I was watching What Not To Wear tonight (my favorite show), and they said to "never wear Christmas sweaters" and then they threw two Christmas sweaters into a trash can.
Oh no, never. But I have the be honest. the only reason I didn't wear one in my dorkiest small-town-girl phase is because I didn't have the money to buy a sweater I could only wear a few times a year. Otherwise, I'd have been right there in dorkdom with all my elementary-school-teacher friends. (No offense to teachers, I love them, I just don't get the jumper and decorated sweatshirt thing - but hey, if you're willing to spend all day with someone else's kids, I guess you can wear what you want).
