This might be a dumb question..


Can you only put songs from the itunes store on an Ipod?? Or can you upload songs from free download sites? There's also places that sell songs for like 50 cents instead of 99.


I asked for one for Christmas, but I don't really want to buy a thousand songs...

Goodness no!! You do not have to buy 1000 songs. You can upload music from CDs.


I haven't tried it yet, but I assume you can upload songs from other sites...I don't see why not.


I bought myself an iPod last week (with some scholarship money!!!) and love it.

I think most websites are iPod compatible, but I know a few others aren't (I think Wal-mart and one or two other places...)

as Escrime said, most sites are ipod compatible. the site i use to download songs doesn't automatically add them to my itunes after i download them. so i just have to open them using itunes (you can also make itunes the default player) and then they appear in my itunes library.

I have been able to download any songs I want for free and then just click and drag them over to the song list on my ipod.  You can also put all of your CD's on there as well.  It's really easy to use!  Have fun  :)
