ooh fun poll! I'm going to stick to my winter stuff for this one:
"what is/are your favorite... shirt?
Oddly, I don't have too many shirts in my closet...it appears I wear mainly sweaters during the winter which would explain why I have trouble finding stuff to wear under my blazers...but, I really like this BCBG black kimono-style top with a crysanthemum print for going out. my second pick would be this new top I'm wearing to a party tomorrow night:
sweater?
my fav is a tawny/doe colored cowlneck sweater by Theory.
jeans?
To be honest, my American Eagle stretch skinny flare jeans in dark vintage wash are the most awesome jeans ever. I love them, even though I have to wear a size up in them.
pants?
Olive green wide-leg chinos from Banana Republic - they are incredibly soft, like suede, very comfortable, and chic.
dress?
My new dress for NYE, which I've already posted a thousand times! My dress is fushia. It fits me so nicely - I am busty and I can wear a regular bra with this dress, yet it is not frumpy. It falls nicely and I feel comfortable in it. I have a Nicole Miller LBD that is an old standby, but I love color, so this dress trumps it.
shoes?
These were a splurge, but I love them. They are so comfortable, the heel is dainty yet sturdy and *just* high enough to make me happy. The quality of the leather is incredible. I wish I had more creative and fancy shoes to show off, but for the moment I have mostly sensible shoes in the closet.
bag?
This is hard. It's a tie between my Lauren Merkin (this color pink, but in a smaller shoulder bag style):
shirt? Rebecca Taylor small dot top bought at Billion Dollar Babes Sample Sale last fall
sweater? This is really tough at the moment as I love sweaters. Ok right now it is a toss up between this black and white sweater vest and a pink cashmere sweater that is like a half cardigan it has like 4 buttons on it.
jeans? Loving my yanuks but my ab fav are still my seven dojos
pants?
Oldie but goodie... my cashmere blend camel French Connection Pants I have had since Late Winter of 2000
dress?
Not a big dress person at all....Suit is my BR black suit from Fall 2003. Dress would have to be this Pheobe short black dress I got at Jacobsons back in 2001 in a record 15 minutes. I wanted a new dress for a semi formal that night boyfriend (now FI) said ok you have 15 minutes then we are leaving. Found a sales woman found my size fit like a glove bought it. Oh and it is a size 2 petite and I am now size 2 petite but damn my boobs look good in it!
shoes?
Kate Spade sandals with black and white striped heel most expensive shoe purchase but oh so worth it and i so need to get them resoled one of these days!
bag?
Hardest question ever. I love my prada traveler/doctors bag but absolute favorite is my black and white fendi with the camel leather straps baguette
shirt? I have this Catherine Malandrino top that is so beautiful. I don't like to wear it too much because I'm scared to death something might happen to it. Here's a pic...it's really fitted and looks better on.
sweater? A black v-neck that I've had forever from Max Studio. The black color is really rich, the v-neck is REALLY deep, and the sleeves are really long.
jeans? I'm not the biggest designer jean groupie, so I love Gap Long and Lean. They are cheap and I can get them in the 35.5 inch inseam.
pants? Trina Turk Leesa pants
dress? A full length Nicole Miller evening gown. It's magenta, strapless, very fitted, and mermaid cut. Perfection... at least for my body and coloring.
shoes? Any of my mary janes (I honestly think I have a fetish). OR I have pair of black suede stilettos that I ordered from the Bloomingdales catalog by a no-name brand that are pretty hot.
bag? This is hard. I have a big, black leather Prada that was my first "big girl" bag that my dad gave me so it has special meaning. I know they are uber-trendy, but I also have a Dior saddle bag that is fun and makes me happy. Oh... and all of my Kate Spades from college just because I was obessed with 'collecting' them. Bags are kinda my thing... if you can't tell.
shirt? black Studio M Silk Cap-Sleeved top. it fits perfectly, flatters my neckline & boobs well & is just the right length.
sweater? my grandmother's vintage black beaded sweater. craftsmanship is amazing & it can work w/anything in my closet.
jeans? James Jeans Original 5-pockets in Grey Swan. perfect wash & fit--low-rise w/a higher back.
pants? black AT flat-front trousers i've had for 10 years. they still fit me perfectly.
dress? cotton floral sundress. got it new for $3 @ a thrift store & it fits like a glove.
shoes? Gucci slingbacks. bought these 8 years ago & they're still going strong. best shoe investment i've EVER made.
bag? tie between my LV Cabas Mezzo & black Gucci hobo. the LV is perfect for travel b/c of the size & the (non-horsebit) Gucci is the perfect everyday bag.
shirt? This slightly sheer, white button down from BR. I found it on clearance for $10 years ago, when I didn't even shop there. It is SO soft and looks good with anything.
sweater? it's a tie between my 3/4 sleeve black cashmere turtleneck and my pink cashmere BR hoodie
jeans? 3 way tie (sorry! I love jeans!) - 7 bootcuts in dark NY (casual); True Religion bridgets (hotness); or salt works orchard street in polished (dressy)
pants? dark charcoal Express correspondent pants. Sadly, I discovered this style when it was already discontinued -- I got a pair on clearance and have not found a better pair yet.
dress? other than my wedding dress (which I adore!) -- a black, knee length backless jersey dress my sister bought me at Wet Seal (!!!!) years ago. It looks amazing and I cab wear it so many ways.
shoes? crap, I don't know. probably my pewter bcbg t-straps, because my sister picked them out
bag? bronze lambskin hobo I found at Marshall's. It's insanely soft and slouches perfectly. They had a pink one there, too, and I am kicking myself for not getting it

shirt? A rose colored tiered silk cami. I wear it under everything.
sweater? This shawl collared, chunky knit, ivory cardigan from Anthro. It has bits of pink in the ivory yarn, and beads and sequins on the front as well as rhinestoned buttons
jeans? These really cool trousery jeans I have from Urban. They're indigo with pinstripes and have cool pockets and buttons. I can't explain. Plus I look 10 lbs skinnier in them.
pants? These green chino trouser pants from Old Navy. They make my ass look amazing
dress? My prom dress. Knee length green silk from BCBG with cool straps. Can't explain
shoes? My saddle Fryes.
bag? This big dark brown leather bag I got for free at the dump in this small town. It has really cool brass hardwear.
Hmmmm.... I guess that would be my Helen Wang top - black with pink, green and blue hearts
sweater?
new cashmere cowlneck.... love love love
jeans?
new sevens with swarovski crystals
pants?
gray theory "tara" pants.
dress?
tan and black houndstooth DVF wrap
shoes?
black Charles David "aspire" pumps - I wear them practically every day, they're 2 years or so old, and not my fanciest or most expensive, but they're comfortable and sexy.
bag?
My "every day bag," a black MJ sophia - I am just completely satisfied with it and I love that the leather keeps getting softer.
And also my prada bag - it makes me feel like I look polished, and it was such a steal ($199 at DSW)

Seriously? From the dump? Good score!

shirt? currently getting a lot of wear out of a Diane Medak shirt I got a month or so ago online...I'll post a pic when I figure out how. It's seems to go with everything, though. (mine is the grey one)
sweater? a red, fitted cashmere cardigan I won on eBay for $36
jeans? True Religion Joey's - dark wash - these jeans are...they rule, period.
pants? Dark grey wool Jacob semi-dressy pants - they're kind of masculine-styled and they look good with my girlier tops/sweaters.
dress? my dresses are all too summery to be wearing right now - I don't really have any cocktail dresses that I wear often enough to call 'all stars'
shoes? leather Sue London bendy flats and also a pair of camel suede Farylrobin wedge boots
bag? my Celine Boogie (in the colour below), of course! the love affair continues...

A Karen Millen top in this shape, but in a black and white graphic floral that's really abstract and artsy. It has a white leather flower pin at the neck. I can dress it up or dress it down and it fits my body like a glove. Plus, it shows off my strong shoulders.
Runner up is this Mona & Holly top I got for 50% at the Fred Segal sale this past September. I love it because it can be dressed up or down, the print incorporates colors that look great against my skintone, and because I love large, graphic prints. The print is artsy and I'd like to believe that the artistic girl lives within me. And it's so soft and drapes over my curves exactly the way I want it to. And it was 50% off
sweater?
It's a tie between my vintage 1950s ivory cashmere sequinned sweater that I got at the Fairfax HS flea market in LA for $25 and this Vince OTS sweater. I love cashmere and both of these are incredibly soft, plus I think I look better in ivory than I do in white. I love OTS styles like the Vince or any others that show off my shoulders because I have well-defined shoulders and strong collarbones. I love the sequinned cardi because it's a conversation starter and it's just such a great quality find. One of my favorite vintage scores ever.
My vintage one is very similar to this VS one, but in ivory
This is the Vince one
jeans?
True Religion Joey jeans in Dark Handsand. They're funky, cool, comfy and my legs look really really skinny because of the twisted seam.
pants?
Brown/plummy violet plaid wool Paul & Joe trousers that I got at The Wasteland here in LA for $32! They're not very bold, but they're still a fun color and I wear them casually with Converse sneakers or dressed up with brown high heel pumps. So versatile, plus I'll have them forever.
dress?
Iridescent mauve chiffon Betsey Johnson spaghetti strap knee length slipdress with an empire waist and mauve satin trim. It was $25 (down from $280) at Macys. It shimmers like a mermaid fairy dress. I should just get a wand and a tiara and be done with it.
shoes?
I don't know how I ever lived without my black leather knee high kitten heeled Kenneth Cole boots! It took me more than two years of searching but finally I have them! They're not stretch leather, but they fit my 15 1/2" (that would be 'fat' or if you're PC 'muscular') calves and they enclose my feet like a second skin. Plus the leather is super buttery soft. I have a lot more "fun" shoes, but these are the reliable standbys and I will cry massive tears when these are worn out. Plus they're comfy comfy comfy even after 14 hours on campus or a massive shopping expedition. And they look like hotness.
bag?
LV Speedy 25, it was my 18th birthday present from my mother and it's the nicest bag I own (but I have a feeling something will overtake this once I get a job). I still love it because it has sentimental meaning and well, my mom has a Speedy 30....you know it's one of those intangible connections. She's got a ton of vintage 1980s Gucci I should really look through and a LV Damier canvas tote she bought in 1998 that would've been a kick-ass schoolbag, it was sooo huge but really nicely structured.
(on a side note...I remember this bag cost $325 in 1999 and it's $525 on elux right now! )
shirt? Hands down, my favorite top is a short sleeve, black lace v-neck top i bought from BEBE atleast 7 years ago. This is when bebe made nicely tailored, quality clothing. Both men (for their significant other - i guess) and women stop me ( I swear, everytime i wear this top) and ask me where i got it. It goes with everything.
sweater? probably a brown turtle neck with ruching (hard to describe) from anthropologie. It looks great with every color and everything
jeans? Right now i'm into my wide legged jeans from anthropologie.
pants? Dark black/blue pinstripe, wide legged trousers from Sicily
dress? I own a squillion dresses so this is hard to pin point. For sexy look: bcbg dress that is off the shoulder with a patent leather strap on other shoulder sweet: retro 70's dress that is very ala marc jacobs. sweet heart neck line and peplum included
shoes? my new La Rose vintage croc. t-straps i picked up from a vintage shop. They are dazzling
wow- this is going to require some serious thought..
shirt?
Probably my favorite shirt just to look at is my Built by Wendy seahorse puff sleeve t-shirt. My favorite shirts to wear are either my mom's vintage blouses or Velvet brand/C&C t-shirts that are super soft.
like that..but puff sleeves
sweater?
I have a bunch from Anthropologie that I really like. There is one that is dark brown v-neck with buttons down the back from this fall that I wear a lot.
jeans?
I am a HUGE AG jeans fan. They are the only brand I buy. I have two pairs of the Legend Mirage jeans- one has bigger holes in them so they are my more casual jeans. I love them so very much- they are the perfect faded jean (looks better in person.)
">
pants?
I have some Lucky brand camoflauge pants from last year that I adore- the camoflauge is more muted greens and looks almost like mountains instead of the normal camo pattern.
dress?
I bought a dress in france this year that is light pink ribbed cotton with pink lace at the neckline and silk godets at the bottom. It is so casual yet fancy at the same time. I love it.
shoes?
Hmm..I love my yellow Coq sportifs that I bought in France. They are this style but the yellow is lighter and not suede (nubuck?) and the metallic part is a baby blue. They are so cute! I also have a pair of bone colored crackled Irregular Choice flats that go with everything.
bag?
I have two favorites- though they are not the ones that I use the most. A black and pink floral Lula Guiness tote bag, and a Johnny loves Rosie bag in white satin with blue stripes and a blue twisted satin strap. They are so pretty and unique looking.
