Hmm, sounds really weird to type that out loud. I am in my 12th week. Haven't told too many people yet. My office doesn't know it yet.
I was in denial for a while, but apparently it is real!!!! Not necessarily a big suprise, but wasn't really trying either. Didn't expect it to happen so fast though. Now that the panic is starting to fade (daycare, expenses, lifestyle change), I am starting to get kind of excited. But since not many people know, I can't ramble on about it too much!
So, I guess that makes my due date September 20th. Kind of feels good to announce it...now I can start asking you guys all the questions I've been wanting to ask. So much to learn! My biggest complaint right now is maternity clothes. I am not quite ready to jump into those yet....but my clothes are getting pretty tight. They all look so frumpy and matronly, even those on Saks or Neimans. The worse part is that I work in a law firm and have to dress pretty professional.
So, I'll be running lots of things by you all...thanks in advance for the support!
Congratulation! And before you know it you'll be a pro on everything maternity and baby
Oh, and I liked a lot of Gap's maternity pants, most of them seemed to still have nice structure. Also dresses/skirts will be your best friend when your belly gets bigger.
Plus, on Arrested Development there is a lawyer who pretends to be pregnant just to win sympathy. So maybe this will be good for your career, even if you can't find cute clothes

Congrats! I'm sure your firm won't give a fig about your clothes once they hear you're planning on coming back to work (at least I assume from the daycare thoughts).
