Heading to San Antonio for spring break in a week. Any recs. on must do/must see things while we are there? How is the weather (warm enough for flipflops and skirts or not quite)? TIA!
The Riverwalk is a cool place for tourists. There are alot of hotels down there as well. There is also Six Flags Fiesta Texas which is fun and Sea World as well. There is a nice mall North Star that I really love. Also if you are going to be there for a week you may want to go to Austin for a day if you have never been. It is just about an hour outside of San Antonio and alot of fun as well. As far as dress code goes this time of year it is hard to tell. I live in Houston and one day you may be wearing a sweater and the next a sleeveless shirt. San Antonio is a little warmer than Houston generally, so you may be fine with skirts and flipflops.
I live in SA. Right now the weather has been kind of crazy. Its cold one day than warm the other. But if you want as the day gets closer you can ask me how its been and I'll tell you. As to what to do, I'd recommend going downtown one day. It gets really nice at night especially on the river walk. There are a lot of good restaurants there too. Fiesta Texas and Sea World would be fun. And about a minute away from Fiesta Texas we have a fairly new mall called La Cantera. It has Nordstrom, Macy's, Anthropologie, an Apple and Sony store, plus lots more. Its a really nice mall. We also have the zoo and there is a Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch where you can drive through many wildlife animals. They'll actually go up to your car and you can feed them. I've heard it's a lot of fun but I've never been. Also like joy suggested, Austin would be a good place to visit. You could probably visit the majority of Ausin in one day.
If you need anything else go ahead and let me know!
