Just wondering what everyone else does for their facial skin car regimine. I currently use:
-face wash (aveeno's "positively radient") -toner at night (biore) -Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque every week or so -lotion with sunscreen every day (aveeno's "positively radient") -eye cream every night
and just this morning I started using a pore minimizing exfoliator after I washed my face, the bottle says to use it a couple times a week (biore)
Still, even with everything I do I feel like I'm not really doing enough and I certainly don't look *that* amazing as is. I still battle blackheads on my chin and nose. I don't know if there's some critical step I'm missing, or if this is as good as I can get?

I have larger pores on my face, and I have the same trouble with blackheads coming back. It doesn't matter what I do or how much stuff I use. I think it's as good as we can get.
- Wash day and night with Checks & Balances from Origins - Spray Aveda toner on my face (so much faster than a cotton ball) - Moisturize with Dr. Hauschka's Rose Day Cream - Exfoliate occasionally (less frequently than I should) with Modern Friction from Origins
Day: Rinse face. I dont wash again in the AM cuz I dont think my face gets dirty overnight. Nivea Visage Moisturizing Toner Olay Regenerist UV Lotion SPF 15 Olay Body Intense UV Defense SPF 15 on exposed neck/chest/arms...
I try to limit my products because my skin is sooo freaking dry and sensitive. Tons of products for oily, acne-prone skin but it seems like nothing works for super dry skin. Blech.
Morning: Cetaphil moisturizer (rarely cleanse again due to aggravation and dry skin) and Dr. Brandt spf 30
Evening: Cetaphil cleanser, Aveda toner, exfoliater sometimes (random different things) but not regularly because they are super harsh on my face - all kinds, and then cetaphil moisturizer again.
Occasionally I use the Queen Helene Mint Julip Mask but I'm not super regular about it.
I am a little obsessed with exfoliating products, so I am trying to make an effort to cut back. Here's the usual drill:
AM: wash with cetaphyl, and every few days mix in some Remede Sweep (expensive, but the best exfoliator EVER), moisturizer with SPF, eye cream
PM: wash with cetaphyl, spritz with L'Occitane tonic to remove any makeup residue, apply BP where needed, moisturize with Neutrogena Healthy Skin lotion (has wonderfully tingly AHAs)
I recently changed my skin care regimen because my Olay products weren't doing it for me anymore. I'm still trying new things (I do not recommend Wal-Mart's Equate brand!). Right now I use:
*Pond's Dry Skin Cream
*Dove Facial Cleansing Cloths
*Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure detoxifying wet cleansing towelettes (I was using Pond's wet towelettes but didn't like the soapiness)
AM: I don't have a set face washing routine. Sometimes I use a cleansing wipe (right now I have some from Target), otherwise I use a Neutrogena wash or just rinse with water in the shower. I use Philosophy's microdermabrasion wash 2 times a week, or whenever I feel like my skin can use it. I use their microdelivery facial kit once a week or every other week.
-moisturizer with SPF (right now I have Kiehls)
PM: -Clean my face using jojoba oil -Sometimes use an eye cream
- face wash - facial exfoliant (since i started doing this daily, my skin looks better than ever - i should note that i have very oily skin) - toner (usually only in summer. my skin doesn't handle the humidity here very well but i don't feel that i need toner in cooler months when i'm not sweating as soon as i walk outside) - moisturizer with SPF - mattifier (i consider this part of my skin routine, rather than part of my makeup routine. if i wait too long after washing my face to put on the mattifier, my skin feels oily)
pm:
- eye makeup remover - face wash - night powder (that stuff from bare escentuals)
i've had some teeny fine lines around my eyes for a couple of years, so now i'm thinking i should add an eye cream to my routine. i have samples from several companies and am trying them out.

1. wash my face w/ either Kinerase facial cleanser or La Mer cleansing lotion. Right now I'm using Kinerase but when it runs out I will prob. get the La Mer cleansing lotion.
2. smooth La Mer eye concentrate w/ the little silver wand it comes with all over my eye area.
3. dab a pearl sized amount of LA Mer onto my palm with the little spatula the cream comes with. Take my other palm and rub it so the cream gets heat activated. Press and pat the cream onto my face.
As you can see, I'm kind of on a La Mer kick lately, but my skin just drinks up the stuff, so for me, it's worth it.
I used to be such a Sephora skincare junkie, but now most of my stuff is drugstore and my skin has never looked better.
AM:
Wash face with Purpose Cleansing Bar in shower Apply Neutrogena 3-in-1 Stress Control Gel to areas with acne. Apply Dermalogica Total Eye Care with SPF15 around eye area. Moisturize with Cetaphil Lotion SPF15
PM:
Wash face with Olay Daily Facials or Dove SkinVitalizer. I alternate between the two. Apply Neutrogena 3-in-1 Stress Control Gel to areas with acne. Apply Remede High Energy Eye Contour around eye area. (I want to try the La Mer eye cream with the wand next...eye cream is my $$$$ weakness, but i've almost banished my undereye circles completely since religiously using eye cream at 16) Moisturize with Cetaphil Lotion w/out SPF, and apply Kinerase Lotion to any dry, flaky areas (winter only)
Daily: Pop the Pill. My skin is always better when I'm on it. Monthly: Get a facial with my aesthetician. She's cheap, but really amazing and she uses all Dermalogica products.
Randomly: Use Bliss Instant Mattification Mask or Boots Clay Mask. Kind of depends on when the mood strikes, really.
A.M. Aveeno ultracalming face wash aveeno ultracalming moisturizer with spf 15 (but I just bought a bottle of laura mercier's oil free spf 15 moisturizer so I'll start using that instead) bliss eye cream
p.m. aveeno ultracalming face wash, wash 2x to get make up off once skin is dry I apply a small amount of Differin cream (acne medication) eucerin redness relief soothing night cream khiel's eye cream, i forget the name but it has avocado
I also have various masks and scrubs that i sometimes use: mario badescu healing and soothing mask, mariou badescu drying mask, skinceuticals clarifying mask, neutragena stress relief scrub. I don't use these consistently, though.
a.m. Cetaphil Daily Cleanser (for normal to oily skin) Kiehl's Ultrafacial Moisturizer with SPF
p.m. Neutrogena Triple Clean Antibacterial Cleanser (but will prob stop using this once the tube's out - the antibacterial sounded good but is pretty pointless) any of several brands salicylic acid pads (but will prob stop using these too and switch to a gel or something) eye cream - right now I'm using Clinique All About Eyes, but it was an Xmas gift from Mom, I'm not in love with it Kiehl's moisturizer again
I think I might need a heavier moisturizer and I know I need to exfoliate more...
