I'm interested in bartending to make ends meet while i'm still in school. I spoke with a girl at my field placement (im doing it at a crisis nursery which is awesome, btw!) and she bartends at a country club and makes phenomenal tips, especially on wedding nights. I'm wondering if any of you have ever bartended, or known any females that have. Did you or they go to school for it? How did they like it? I would choose my bar very wisely. IDK, thoughts?

I had a friend who became a bartender and he didn't go to school. The other guys at the bar kind of just taught him how to do it, and in the beginning he always had to ask the customers how to make the drinks they wanted. It was a small neighborhood bar, though, I'm sure at a swankier place where you would get the good tips you couldn't do that all the time! But all the female friends I know who are bartenders wear fake wedding rings on their hands because apparently drunk guys get very flirty with hot girl bartenders, and flashing a ring helps. But I don't know about any of their schooling
