Sorry this is kind of long... Two weeks ago, my mom went in to check out the Christmas clearance. She found a dog scarf but there was no price sticker. After waiting 30 minutes for someone to get her a price (off a BABY scarf, not a dog scarf) she insisted on seeing a manager. The manager was so upset at being interrupted from break that she threw the scarf at my mom and hit her in the face. Needles to say, my mom had a few choice words with her. When she contacted the regional manager, he responded by phone within 12 hours. He also sent an apology letter and a $50 gift card . Today he called to follow up and make sure we will still shop at the store, and apologized for his employee's behavior again. I'm surprised at how soon we got a reponse and how apologetic they were. I truly expected to be ignored. (like the time I wrote to McDonalds about an employee spraying bug spray in the kithchen while food was being prepared )
Damn, I know Kmart must be a god-awful place to work, but that employee was out of line. She really should be fired. The regional managers of major stores have to intervene and put out fires. It was nice you got a follow-up call after the apology.
