I'm thinking of getting it as a Christmas present for a 10th grade boy who is a big fan of Colbert. But I've never read it and wanted to make sure that it wasn't "R-rated." Anybody read it?
I asked BF about it, he's in the middle of reading it. He says it's probably somewhere in between PG-13 and R rated. Nothing worse than what you would see (hear?) on network television.
BTW BF's 15 year-old nephew recommended the book to him. He read it and enjoyed it, as did his parents and they keep a close eye on what they allow him to read/watch.
HTH!

The book was absolutely hillarious, but I don't know about giving it as a gift to a 10th grader. I mean, there's nothing in it that he wouldn't understand, but I think it's funnier if you have a bit of life experience under your belt. A 10th grader probably wouldn't find it as funny. I personally probably wouldn't give it to someone that age just because there are a few parts where the content may be questionable (at least in the parents' eyes).
Ummm yeah....i walked into BF's house last night and he said "hey, remember how you were asking me about that Colbert book? I read a little bit more and you probably shouldn't give it to a 10th grader..."
Apparently he hadn't gotten to the chapter about sex until yesterday...
I'm soooo sorry for the premature review...he did say it was hilarioud though....again...sorry, sorry, sorry....
