How do we feel about open-toe shoes for fall/winter.

How do you feel about peep-toe, open-toe shoes in the winter?  I used to think it was silly but it seems like I keep seeing it in magazines and catalogs.  I do like the full-suit look with an open toe but everytime I try it, I feel silly wearing a full suit with coat, and then exposing my toes to the wintery world!

For winter, I don't mind open toe with dress pants to go out in but not everyday business suit. Also, I like to rock open toe shoes with patterned tights and socks when it is cold.

I do it all the time...but I'm in SoCal. When I lived in colder climates, I would wear them up until it was really cold (ie before I would have to bundle up with a heavy jacket, scarves, etc.).

I like the look with pants, but I'd wear open toed shoes with a more casual look than a full on suit. I think pants, a jacket and open toed shoes looks a little strange, but the way the model is wearing it without the jacket looks fine.

I also think that it's a weather-appropriate thing--it's always a little weird to see someone in open toed shoes when it's freezing out.

If the weather is cold, then open-toe shoes with opaque tights is a cool edgy look. I'm less of a fan with them with suits.

I couldn't do it. I get too cold too easily. I don't mind it on other people, though.

I probably wouldn't do it when it's below freezing and I have to walk outside but otherwise, I love the look of open toed shoes with cool tights. Generally, I wear my sneakers to walk to work and then change when I get there so I'll probably be wearing my open toed shoes pretty far into the season.

I like them with tights as well. It is generally not very cold here so I can get away with wearing open-toe most of the time.

I have not tried the tights with open-toe look yet but I do think it can look cool.  I just received a pair of mustard suede jcrew peep-toes that had been back-ordered forever (I had forgotten I bought them)!  I may be able to get some milage out of them this winter with tights!

I'm w/relrel, if it's COLD, and COLD to me is anything BELOW 50 degrees (I live in Texas, so sue me! LOL), then nah, I won't wear peep toes. But other than that, I'll rock them year round, I love peep toes. :) I'd LOVE to try some of my PTs w/some tights. Hmmm. :)

I don't know about anyone else, but I am starting to get annoyed w/ peep toes. LIke, the more I look at them, the more odd I find them. I haven't bought any in a long time. I don't know what changed, but they just bug me now.

Peep toed shoes in the evening, with pants so long as there is no snow is okay in my book. However, outside of those parameters and I am not a fan. I love peep toed shoes!

I find a lot of them odd. I like peep toes, but lately the peeps seem to be so much bigger and I think that's weird. I like it when they're smaller than what is apparently trendy right now.

I'm opposed to the peep toes-with-hoisery look. I think my tastes are too traditional to find that appealing. And I agree that there's some extreme looks in peepage these days, from large to teensy slits.

The real obstacle IMO is keeping your feet pedicured in the winter. I'm lucky if I shave my legs more than once a week this time of year.

Depends on where you live. If it's below 70, I wouldn't wear them.

I think peep toes with tights are fine in the winter. Without tights, not so much.
