Noise Cancelling Headphones

Does anyone own any? I would like a pair for Christmas, but don't know which brand to go with.  I think the Bose would be great, but the price isn't very Santa friendly. I'm looking for a pair under $100, any recommendations?

I'm a big fan of sound isolating earphones instead of the noise cancellation ones like Bose.  I think these work better and I like having earbuds instead of headphones esp. for travel.

I love Shure headphones.  I have the white E4c model which is pricey but there is a E2c model that is only $66 and it seems to have good reviews on amazon.

Shure is a great brand, I've What I like most is that you can use different sleeves on them for whatever is most comfortable in your ear.  I like the yellow foamy ones, it's just like putting earplugs in your ears.  I have to take them out to hear the flight attendants or the captain on the plane!  I also never NEVER have to turn my Ipod volume up past the half-way mark, and the sound quality is great.

You may not want earbuds at all but just thought I'd share...

Thanks Halah! I think i like the idea of sound isolating head phones better than noise cancellation. I'm not crazy about ear buds (because my Apple earbuds really hurt after a while)  but haven't ruled them out completely. Are yours comfortable? It seems like the foam would feel better than the plastic...

Any other suggestions??

Thanks!

With the yellow foam cover they are very comfortable (like wearing ear plugs) and the sound quality is amazing.  The flange covers feel weird to me and I don't like the regular covers at all.  I think you get all three so you can try them out.

I had an audiophile friend turn me on to these and two of my friends now use them.  It's really great for travel or sitting at your desk at work.  The first time I tried them at work I was amazed that I couldn't hear myself typing on the keyboard!  I tried wearing them when I run or am walking around the city but don't anymore, I feel like I need to be able to hear outside noise for those activities!

I saw this in Wired magazine...it's a different model but sounds like a good review.
