We are having a Grey Cup party this sunday (like the Canadian Football version of Superbowl) and I'm making some appies and fingerfoods. I want to do just some veggies and dip but I'm sick of using ranch or hummus.
Anyone have recipes for cheap easy and tasty dips?

I just made this spinach and artichoke dip last weekend and it was a hit!  It's super easy and very yummy!

Ingredients:
1 10-oz package of frozen chopped spinach (thawed, squeezed dry)
1 eight ounce package cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp ground red pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 14-oz can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

Preheat oven to 350. Coat a square pyrex dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, ground red pepper, and garlic powder; beat until well blended.  Stir in the artichokes, then spoon into the casserole dish.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through and the edges are golden.  Serve immediately.

I served these with Triscuit thin crisps.

this one tastes really good on cucumbers (pita triangles too).

Roast 4 red peppers under the broiler or in gas burner flame until all 4 sides are charred.

Place red peppers in paper bag for 20 minutes

Remove from bag, seed and peel peppers

Cut seeded and peeled peppers into quarters

In food processor blend peppers, 1/4 C olive oil, 2 cups of crumbled feta cheese, and 1 good-sized clove of garlic until creamy dip consistency (small lumps are ok).

Add some freshly ground pepper to taste and chill mixture for minimum 3 hours.

I know it's too late for your party, but I just made a roasted red pepper and cannellini bean dip. When I sampled it, I felt like it was a little bland, so I re-blended with some crushed red pepper, and it was really good!
The recipe is here:
