I have lost my sense of fashion to a daily uniform of t-shirts, jeans and sneakers. Does anyone have any ideas for cute outfits that are inexpensive for a stay at home mom for trips to the zoo, play dates & casual events?

I think you start with little bites.

1. Cute, casual jackets/blazers to wear over your tees. Velvet, corduroy, tweed, etc.

2. Shoes! Good shoes make the same old pieces feel more like an outfit. All of these could be worn with jeans and you can still run and fetch.

3. Accessories! A good bag, watch, earrings, whatever you think you can manage - this helps up the style factor.

Why don't you try some really casual knit dresses with boots or flats and tights.  They can look really cute, without being over done.  They also make you feel a little bit more special and its very easy getting dressed in the morning

Great suggestions. I was also going to suggest adding some cute flat shoes and knit dresses/tunics into your wardrobe, which would both be comfortable and cute.

Dresses are hands down the easiest way to get dressed and be comfortable IMO.

Buy some cheap knit dresses from forever 21, some tights or leggings some flats and boots -

you can wear those every day , look cute, be comfy and be able to play with your kids!

You can still be cute in jeans, as long as they aren't mom jeans!  Just replace the sneakers with cute shoes and the tees for a pretty top or sweater.

a cute pair of shoes and a scarf can really perk up a jeans and t outfit without makeing it any less comfortable.

 Exactly how I dressed up today! I wore a pretty top with a nice sweater with my trouser jeans and mocs and felt so dressed up!
