I think I finally figured out how to post pictures again! Hurrah.
So I'm trying to pick out some "sturdy" fall shoes... In other words, something that will be comfortable and easy for me to walk in most days of the week. I'm sick of having sore, mangled feet! But I still want to be somewhat stylish. Here are some of the shoes I'm thinking about. As you can see, I'm interested in boots, flats and heels -- aka everything -- I'm not sure which I need most, but I can probably only afford to buy one or two pairs right now.
What do you think of them? Do you have other suggestions for *genuinely* comfortable shoes that don't completely break the bank? Have I become completely unstylish now that I want sturdy shoes?!
Carrie Bradshaw: The fact is, sometimes it's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes. That's why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.
It IS hard to find comfy shoes that are still stylish and cute. I've been trying to find them myself.
You may want to look into some styles from Camper...many of them are very quirky, but there are some pretty stylish, but comfy options to be had. Some Seychelles shoes are also worth a look, as most have durable rubber soles and good padding.
1. Born Carita: Like them - the granny boot is a classic, and these have a slight edge to them too. 2. Merrell Tetra Launch: They're aiight. I'd like them better in black, but they're very casual. 3. Merrell Paris: Sorry, these I just don't get - they scream 'soccer mom' and that's an insult to soccer moms. You may as well just wear Converse All-Stars. 4. Frye Adrienne T-Strap: Cute, but they have kind of a 1970s disco cartoon vibe to me. (Sid and Marty Krofft, or Blue Meanies, or something from my childhood.) 5. Aerosoles Wrap Book: Pass, because I had similar ones and I ended up never wearing them because they didn't seem to work with either pants (too girly) or skirts (too clunky). 6. Aerosoles Romance: These are cute, but I've seen cuter, so unless they're like walking on pillows of jello, I'd keep looking. 7. Born Britt: Same as above but more of it. They're matronly.
