Your favorite coat for winter?
Permalink Closed

The weather has been getting a little cooler here, and I am already thinking of winter coats.  ashamed  My other coats are very conservative, so I want a dramatic coat as my "frivolous" buy for this winter.  I like the look of Mackage's stuff, but their stuff is too long for me, so the proportions are off.

I have seen some Soia and Kyo ones like this that I like, but aren't they made by Mackage too (just the inexpensive line)?  If they are, I'm afraid they won't fit either.

So what coats are you drooling over for winter?

I really like Mackage coats too, but California winters don't make them worth the price.

I have this brown tweed coat from last year:

I just got the black version of this one from H&M:

Here it is on someone else:

I have a Mackage wool jacket that I heart.gif...the jackets can work even when the coats don't.

I've also been REALLY into Zara coats lately...the proportions work nicely on my short torso. If I lived in a slightly colder climate, I would've bought maybe 3 or 4 of the ones I tried on this past weekend.

here is my question, would a coat such as the white one Escrime posted look totally ridiculous on a 5'2" 110lb fame?

I don't think so, but I suppose you could always have it hemmed an inch or so without it really being obvious.

I've been really drawn to white coats too, but unless it's a raincoat or trench there's no way I could keep it clean.

I love this style of coat, but I can never find one that fits me right. They always look weird in the back on me. :(
