I always liked to do posters from my favorite artists - not sure what your style is but Matisse and Picasso are two of my favorites.

I once did my own paintings (acrylic) on poster board that matched the style I had. I used a really good double-sided tape on the back to hang it up.

***My favorite thing to do is slice out prints from a beautiful calendar. YOu can get cheap frames for them or find other ways to display the pictures from the calendar.

Here is one good example of a calendar you could split into prints for decorative purposes.
