I am in search of a pair of gold heels since the pair I had got destroyed over the weekend. I would like to keep the price under $70 but I am willing to go up to $100 if they are really great. I have looked at Zappos,Shoes.com,Pipperlime,UO and didn't find anything. I would prefer they be closed toe and not sandals, but all suggestions are welcome. TIA!

Try doing a search for "Comme Il Faut." They're tango shoes handmade in Argentina, and I have a pair of the most gorgeous gold heels from them. You can wear them as street shoes. They have the most elegant heels, so well-balanced, and the shoes are just gorgeous.

I was going to suggest dancing shoes as well. If you do a search for ballroom dance shoes, you'll come up with a ton of options - but they'll be on the pricier end. My ballroom shoes were $130, but you may very well be able to find some around or just ender $100. I love ballroom shoes so much - they're comfortable and sturdy, quite obviously, but most of all I really love some of the styles (some can get quite garish, but many are gorgeous enough to be street shoes). If I was someone who was willing to pay $100 for a pair of street shoes, every single one of my heels would be ballroom shoes.

I just wanted to add - If you want to try ballroom shoes, make sure they're NOT suede sole. You can find some that have the stiff leather outsole, like tango shoes do, and these can be worn on the street.
