whats bigger for fall...skinny jeans or trouser jeans?? im trying to get ready for fall and i never really got on the skinny jean wagon b/c i was afraid it would go out of style quick but it seems to have stuck around for awhile. but now the trouser jeans are pretty big too so if you ladies had to buy one for your fall wardrobe, which would you buy? which one is going to stick around longer??
I am planning to buy a pair of wide leg jeans (need to figure out what brand -- suggestions anyone?!) and think they're a more classic style. But I think I will keep wearing my skinny jeans for at least one more season.
I feel like skinnies are on their way out. I have close-cut straight-legs that I used to get into the skinny mood (because I look atrocious in genuine skinnies), but if I was buying new jeans right now they'd be trousers

I think the skinny/straight leg style will still be in for fall. However, I think that wide leg jeans and trousers will be more in. I agree with atlgirl, focus on what suits you best. That could be more of a straight leg if you want to go for skinny jeans, or more of a flare jean as opposed to full on wide leg.
I'm wearing both. My skinnies are more straight than skinny though.
I just bought a straight/bootcut pair that I need to get hemmed. I also have a pair of widelegs I'm loving but haven't really worn because I need to wear them with my highest heels and wedges.
Oh yea thats true. As Lilykind said, I think wide leg jeans look best with heels/wedges. It would probably be fine with flats if you were really tall with long, skinny legs (but I'm sure most of us here do not fit that description).
I like the trouser leg...but I also liked skinnies. I should add that I haven't bought jeans in over a year, since I just tend to wear them on the weekend! I'm wearing my trouser jeans this fall - it's been hot in LA, so I don't really wear jeans in the summer here!
I'm sticking with the straighter/skinny jeans (esp for tucking into boots). I've always like the trouser cuts but the superwide leg is too trendy and overpowering on me (personally). I say just wear what you feel comfortable with.
