I found this fab dresser for sale locally and I have a wonderful vision of replacing the handles and painting it a glossy black or white. The best part is that it's selling super cheap and I can afford to buy it under my shopping ban with my extra $.
However.....I need DH pick it up w/me in his truck. *I KNOW* when he sees it he will think its a piece of junk, will refuse to pick it up, and wont listen to my *vision* of how gorgeous it will look once I fix it. He does this every time and after I fix it, he ends loving it.
I've been trying to find nicer pics of the same style dresser to show DH so he can imagine the *after* look, but I cant seem to type in the right keywords and find anything similar. Can anyone identify what this type of dresser style is called? TIA!
*I found the picture that I recently saw in Domino on their website, its not the same style dresser, but its similar and the finished look is exactly what I want:
Carrie Bradshaw: The fact is, sometimes it's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes. That's why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.
yes, I also think it's called a highboy - also try chest of drawers (or chester draws as someone once said to me - I'm like, "who the heck is Chester Draws?"
ETA: it does appear to be turn of the century - late 1800's to early 1900's.
