AGGGGGHHHHH!!! This is long, but seriously, this company is a joke.
Okay, I need a beer before I even allow myself to THINK about this situation. (inhale...exhale) So here is what happened. My friends and I entered a drawing at Lifetime Fitness kind of as a joke because they alays make fun of me for ho unlucky I am...needless to say, I won. It was a $300 gift certificate to American Laser Centers. So I was obviously excited and I made a consultation... I decided to go with the bikini laser hair removal. It was $1200, (900 with my gift certificate) and they said they wre going to throw in a package of microdermabrasion for free! I was so excited. They said they could fit me in that day for a micro, so I did it. Well...I went home and talked with my dad about it and we decided it was not the best way to spend my (little) amount of savings. So I called and explained to them I wanted to back out. They told me that because I had my micro, I couldn't. I told them I was confused because that was free, but regardless, I had a $300 gift certificate that they could justuse for that one treatment. They said sorry, not possible, we can cancel the aser treatment, but now you have to pay for the $800 microdermabrasion package. WTF!? Naturally, I was furious, confused, and felt riped off. But wait, it gets better. After saving my money, and paying this ridiculous bill, I schedule this f'ing micro and they tell me my package has expired. AGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Gulp, gulp. You've got to be kidding me. So there goes 800 down the drain to a joke of a company. Not to mention their office/clinic was the crappiest place I've ever seen. They didn't even have warm towels for after my micro, they used a COLD PAPER TOWEL. ugh. this pisses me off. so PLEASE, never, ever, ever, give them business, for your own benefit.

I got one of those $300 GC's too. I just got the cheapest microderm package. I mean, my skin looked nice, but it wasn't the mind-blowingly awesome results that 600 worth of microderm should be. I mean, the clinic was clean and they were nice the first couple of times, but then I just totally lost enthusiasm for the results. I think I got the series of 6 and only went to 3. The local ALC was in a strange area that was mostly residential so it was a PITA to go there.
Of course, now it's expired and I really don't give a crap. I found a great esthetician in Atlanta who did more with facials and chemical peels than ALC did with microderm. Unfortunately I couldn't bring her back to Los Angeles. :(
I know you're prob sick of thinking about this situation, but I would consider bringing up your experience with the BBB. www.bbb.com
not a bad idea

What a freakin' scam! This kind of sneaky scammery pisses me off! I'm sure everybody "wins" the $300 gift card. I think the BBB would love to hear about your experience.

No, Call Visa and tell them your disputting the charge and you want it credited back to your account.
Then write a letter to the local office laser center , and copy the letter AND send it also to there headquarters. I would give them one billing cycle on your cc (one month) before going to the BBB to complain.
