Zune vs. iPod

Anyone have a Zune? I have an iPod nano, but I want a full-size MP3 player and I'd like to get either a Zune or an iPod. I know that Zune has features that iPod doesn't, but it's also bulkier. Anyone have experience? Thanks.

my sister's friend loves her Zune, but we just got an ipod video and it is totally awesome. Personally, I think ipods are easier to use.

i never used a zune...i'm on my second ipod (video), and i love it. i'm not sure what the zune does that the ipod doesn't, but i do know that one of DH's coworkers got his wife a zune for xmas and they just bought an ipod to replace it because you can't watch movies on the zune(?) or there aren't a lot of choices? don't know quite what the issue was, but it was enough that they gave up on it after a few months...

have you read any reviews like on cnet.com?

While I hate any Apple product, I have to say the Zune has had a lot of freezing issues, and you can only download songs from a specific website. Where I work at we get the most returns on the Zunes, in fact since Christmas we see more customers bring in the ZUne to exchange for the video IPOD or another brand.

I personally love IRiver and Creative.

I have a Creative Zen 30gig and it's awesome. You can play videos and I think the screen is much much clearer than any IPod.

My video iPod got stolen and I replaced it with a Zune and I like the Zune way better. The screen is bigger, and I don't think it's any harder to use than an iPod and I've never had problems with it freezing or anything. My favorite feature is definitely Zune marketplace - for $15 a month you get unlimited downloads, which is awesome. You'll only be able to use the music on the Zune - you won't be able to burn it to CD or anything unless you pay separately for the songs, but the Zune is the only thing I use to play music, so that's not a big deal at all.

FWIW, I absolutely love the Creative Zen products.  I would marry them, yes I would.
