Has anyone used Elfa or a similar system to organize a closet? My new apartment has 3 very deep, very high closets and I really need to get some good shelving and drawers in there so they don't become a mess. I've been looking at Elfa but it seems like a lot of money to pay for a bunch of wire drawers. Any reviews of Elfa or recommendations for other companies would be great!
Last year, Consumer Reports did an article on closet and garage organizers. They rated Rubbermaid's Configurations at the top for the DIY closet systems. Elfa Ventilated Shelving came in second. For professionally installed, California Closets Classic was their favorite. Just fyi.
FH and I are big fans of Elfa. We went to look at the systems a while back and decided that when we move, we are going with it.
Just an FYI- in January, The Container Store puts Elfa on sale. I can't remember the percentage off right off the top of my head but its a pretty good one. 20% comes to mind for some reason.... The SA told us to come and design it in December and order it in January.
i love the elfa shelving. i've used it in my laundry room & my pantry. we order in january or february-ish through the container store when they have their annual 30% off elfa sale.
it's a great system with lots of options. the pieces are really, REALLY strong and well made.
