Excellent quality. They are made by Mitchell Gold, who also supplies Crate & Barrell and Restoration Hardware. Pottery Barn sell Mitchell Gold products cheapest, although they are of the same quality (though styles may differ) as the other big stores that carry MG.

I have had my couch, a chair, and an ottoman for about seven years and they show absolutely no wear. The cushions are as hard as the first year, and the fabric (we chose twill for it's washability and duribility) is true to color after all these years.

You will not be disappointed. The only thing that is a pain is ironing the cover, which can take about 45 minutes to do the couch, but so worth it to be able to wash it whenever you want. We wash and dry the cover at home in our King size washer and dryer.

My mom bought a PB couch in November, so it's not that old, but it's looking good so far. She has a velvety slipcover in the color you posted above.

It's super comfy. Great for taking naps. It's the PB grand or something like that, which looks just like the one you posted.

She also bought a slipcovered chair from Crate & Barrell in the Mitchell Gold material like Drew mentioned. She has 3 different covers so she can change seasonally.

Thanks. That helps a lot. I was just looking at them again. You know what kills me? I could swing the $$$ for the sofa. Not excited about it, but I want good furniture that will last a LONG time. It's the freakin' $750 for the extra slipcover (just the sofa)! Sheesh! Guess the extra slipcover won't happen any time soon!

I'm late to the party...but, after thoroughly researching options from: C&B, Restoration, Hardware Arhaus, Ethan Allan and some local stores I ended up w/ the Pottery Barn "Square" Slipcovered sofa...I can't vouch for quality and wear/tear yet...as it won't be delivered until next week, but in terms of looks and cost...it won hands down.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents ...

I actually bought the ikea version of the pottery barn sofas. I have ended up buying 2 sofas, 2 chairs, a ottoman and a sectional sofa from ikea over the last 5 years. All of them have been the ikea knock off version of pottery barn, super comfy and they have lasted so well. They also are slipcovered (a must with pets!) . They retail for about $599 too (much better prices~)

when my sister was shopping for furniture she seriously considered the pottery barn slipcovered stuff. a salesperson told her that first, pottery barn doesn't sell their floor model couches b/c they just change the slipcovers seasonally. they then sell the floor model slipcover at a huge discount. so you can get a great deal on new slipcovers.

she ended up buying the ikea knock-offs that alliegurl mentioned, and is really happy with them. she has 2 small kids and dogs, so for her it didn't make sense to spend the extra $$ for pottery barn.
