Driving Trips?

Does anyone use a GPS for road trips? I have a few trips planned to NJ and NYC over the next few weekends and can't stand printing out mapquest directions. I am borrowing a friends TomTom One XL and am really excited about trying it! Does anyone else use this? I am new with this. How do you like using a GPS?

I don't have one, but my directionally challenged friend has one and uses it no matter where she's going!

i borrow my moms every once in awhile and I have a love hate relationship with it. It is frustrating because if you like to take backroads it gets confusing and it isn't very user friendly IMO

collegegirl5858- what kind does your mom have? The TomTom One XL was extremely user friendly. I thought I was going to be GPS challenged but I actually understood it right away, and for the first time, I didn't get lost!! LOL!

I have not used one, but I have heard from friends that theirs did not work in certain spots in NYC.

I haven't used the TomTom in NYC, but I will be there in August, so I will test it out then and let you know!!
