I loved the final 6 guys songs!  They were great!  And isn't Smokey Robinson too cute?  He's just freakin' adorable.  I've always liked watching him perform.

Kelly Clarkson looked like she was hurting by the end of her song.  That's a lot of screaming.  I would be too.  It's a good song, though.

Gwen was good as usual.  I love the song she sang. 

ETA: and Gladys freaking Knight!  I want to sing "Midnight Train to Georgia" with her!  What an honor for those girls up on the stage with such a legend.

I definitely enjoyed Kelly and the medleys were cute! My favorite moment was Blake and Doug E. Fresh. The only disappointing thing for me was that Jordan won! Boo, I am definitely not a fan. But I think that my favorites, Blake and Melinda, will have successful careers in music, so I'm not too worried.

I had to watch Lost so I dvr'd American Idol and since it went over I missed the ending!  I was super pissed and had to watch a crappy recorded version on youtube.  Seems like a lot of people missed it due to it going over.  Too many dang singing performances is why.

Anyways, I knew Jordin was going to win when it was top 24 and was sure by top 12 Blake would come 2nd.

While I like Gladys and Smokey (what's the deal with the contacts?!  I thought someone would've clued him in after the Grammys.), I did not enjoy the performances at all.  The only one I liked was Blake & Doug E. Fresh.  I think I was just spoiled because last year's finale was so awesome.

The Doug E Fresh "duet" with Blake was incredible!  This is how I've always seen Blake, as someone who can work with lots of different talent from different genres and just make songs better, kinda like what P. Diddy does (he does still call himself that, right?). 

I am glad Blake did not win because I think he will have more flexibility now with his talents, whereas I think they really box in the winner with a lot of outside control.  I think Jordin is perfect as an American Idol.  She is young, so I know she will grow and be even better in time (she's great now though!), and she is very likeable, a good size (nice and average so she seems approachable like the girl next door), and she can really sing those ballads.  I've been waiting for the next Celine, Aretha type singer and I think we have one again. 

I'm bummed that all the shows are wrapping up though.  I hope Fox and the rest have some good summer programming coming soon.

I didn't watch the finale, but I knew Jordin would win. I wish all of the haters knew what a nice person she is IRL! I liked Blake a lot too, but he will do much better on his own than singing the songs the AI people woudl give him.

I really like Jordin and I'm glad she won. She definitely can sing! She seems so sweet and I hope she doesn't let her new title turn her into a little diva!

I think last year's finale was better with the guest entertainers. Bette Midler wasn't very good. I also don't like Kelly Clarkson anymore. It seems like she's always trying to be more and more hard rocker chic or something. Can't stand the screaming/shouting thing. I liked seeing the rest of the past Idol winners though, especially Carrie Underwood. The only other guest performance I liked was Gwen Stefani.

Am I the only person that missed Ruben? When he sang that duet with Jordin he made my heart melt. His voice is so beautiful and his "velvet teddy bear" persona are one of a kind. I have missed him and it was nice to be reminded why he was a deserving winner of the AI title.

I"m so glad Blake didn't win. His beat boxing was annoying! And he's not a great singer. Good, sure, but not great.
