I think there will be another season - NO WAY would they leave us like that if there wouldn't be!

I was depressed by the entire thing and honestly I felt like it was so depressing I would have to force myself to watch the following episode next week. I don't know how I'll remember or care to watch the next episode months from now. The Christina-Burke thing was killing me. I kept thinking about how when he first proposed to her she was SO happy and she WANTED it. What she *didn't* want was the big wedding, which is what he forced her into. He saw that as not wanting him and not being sure about him, which really pissed me off and annoyed me. It's like the writers were trying to make Christina the bad guy in the last couple episodes for the totally wrong reasons.

I'm pissed off that Callie wants to have a kid in the middle of her completely on-the-rocks marriage, and I know that a potentially happy storyline will be completely twisted. I don't know why Meredith is suddenly iffy about McDreamy other than to keep their "turmoil" going (and I think he was a jerk for telling her about the other woman to make a point, and even worse for trying to have that serious conversation while Christina was about to get married. And not in an oh-I-need-to-keep-watching way, just in a man-he's-a-jerk-I-want-to-turn-off-the-TV way). I hope Carev(?) goes after Eva. I was okay with him beng honest that he couldn't handle her, until he talked to Addison and suddenly raced back to see her. Now I'm just annoyed with them too.

Was there any happiness in this entire episode? Only the very minor storylines of Cheif/Adell and the gay couple with the mother of twins.

I was at my parents' house last night, and apparently Mom has turned Dad into quite a GA fan since I've moved out because he made my brothers leave the room so they wouldn't make too much noise while we watched it, and he kept saying "I can't understand why everybody can't have a happy ending, I just want to see everyone happy" - this coming from a manly man with grease on him from working on cars all day! :)

Ehh...to me, it was pretty much all predictable.  I figured Burke and Christina wouldn't get married, and I think partly that's been ruined by what's going on w/Isiah Washington IRL - we don' tknow if he's coming back next season due to the comments he made about TR Knight, so I figured they wouldn't get married.  I thought it'd be her that would call it off though.  I felt bad for her in the end.  As for Mer-Der, ugh, I hate Meredith.  What is her problem?  She's so wishy-washy and it's so annoying.

So, who is Lexie Grey - it didn't look like Meredith's half sister to me?

I was really disappointed with the episode. It was not season finale caliber, in my book.

I felt like it was so cheesy. What is up with them making bar girl who hit on McDreamy return? And even worse, they made her last name Grey! doh I also do not like the new interns. I hope they won't be part of the next season. They seemed like bad actors! (Except for maybe Lexie Grey).

Ttara, ITA with all your comments. It seems like they tried to make Christina out to be the bad one.

And George! I can't believe he didn't pass! :(

What the hell is up with Meredith? She is so annoying! I feel bad for Derek. She's so damn wishy-washy.

UGH!! Why do they have to make Meredith so annoying!!! When Derek was confused last week, she begged him not to give up on her. When he pledges his love, she "can't talk about it right now." AAAAARGH! Even if you have a best friend in crisis, when the man of your dreams says you are the love of your life, you take 2 minutes to reciprocate, dammit!!

I thought the episode title, "Didn't we almost have it all," was very fitting.  Everyone almost got what they wanted but it fell short.

I am sick of both Meredith and Derek.  I think they are both being stupid.  First of all, her mother and stepmother both just died (and her almost, too) and her father practically disowns her, again, and she never really let anyone in before...he needs to realize she needs space once in awhile.  On the other hand, he is ready to settle down and she needs to realize that she may lose him forever if she can't make up her damn mind.

I don't see why Callie was picked to be Chief Resident over Miranda Bailey...besides I thought she was an attending...but I may be totally confused or even mixing up resident vs. attending.  Either way, I thought Bailey was a shoo-in and I would like to know why she didn't get it.

George and Izzy--eww.  George and Callie having a baby--even more eww.  I like Callie but she is not right for George and is too desperately trying to hold on.  This will get ugly.

I wanted Alex to find Ava/Rebecca still at the hospital so very badly.  I am hoping we find out more about Alex Korev next season, as his character is largely unexplored.

I had a feeling Burke was going to leave Cristina, but I would have guessed for different reasons.  The ending with her in the dress trying to remove that ugly choker was really sad, and well-acted out, I thought.

Lexi Grey is Thatcher and Susan's younger daughter--Meredith's half-sister.  They made a slight mention of her earlier in the season.  The actress is supposedly signed on for multiple episodes next season, so this should get interesting.  Who is the actress, BTW?  She looks so familiar but I cannot place her.

Though this episode was predictable, I enjoyed it because it was the first episode that has not sucked in the past couple months...probably not season-finale-worthy, though (whereas the ER season finale was so good!).

the actress is chyler leigh of "not another teen movie" fame -- my husband and i call her the queen of failed tv shows, considering she starred in three shows that got cancelled before they even had one full-run season (that 80's show, girl's club, and reunion).

Oh, okay, now I remember her from Reunion.  Thanks, Smash, I thought I was going to go crazy thinking about it!

That was such an awful hour of television. It had some funny moments, but all in all, it is NOT the same Grey's Anatomy that I loved when it first started. Why is everyone miserable? I don't understand why all the characters have to be in such turmoil. I mean, life has its dramatic moments and all, but not everyone you know is all having a miserable time at life all the time. Sheesh!

Also, I'm sick of practically every character and none of the characters are what they used to be. George used to be so great and now he's just as miserable as the rest of them. I hate the George/Izzie relationship and find Callie completely ridiculous for thinking that a baby is a good idea right now--she's smarter than that. Grey and McDreamy just annoy the crap out of me, and Christina makes me want to rip my hair out. I think the only one I have any empathy for is Alex and I think that's just because I think he's hot.

Overall I thought it was predictable -- the situation with Isaiah Washington and TR Knight off-screen made me think Burke was going to be written off, and then as soon as he launched into his wedding vows during surgery I thought "okay, they're not getting married -- we're not going to hear these vows twice." One plus: Sandra Oh was pretty amazing in her final scene, where she said "I'm free" and started sobbing.

Besides that, Meredith really annoys me for the reasons already given -- one minute she's whining about keeping Derek, and then he professes his love and she walks away. And I don't understand why he's so hung up on her anyway. Everyone is annoying on the show now, except I did like the Alex/Ava story and seeing the Chief reconcile with his wife. And then next year we'll have another love triangle between Meredith, her sister, and Derek, it looks like.bleh.gif

I totally agree with the collective 'It sucked/was predictable/why so miserable?'.  AMAZING acting by Sandra Oh in that final scene though .....

So, after the season finaleI had so many questions I needed to be answered before September!!  A friend of mine told me about this great Web site she goes to every Friday morning - www.greyswriters.com.   Shonda Rhimes, the creator/writer of Greys, writes a column that doesnt necessarily recap the latest episode, but explains WHY storylines happened.  She gets really indepth in each character and why/what happened/happening.

Worth a read!!
